3 x 10= 30

Deep down we all would love to accomplish a good 45+ minutes of exercise every day, whether because we actually enjoy the physical activity or because we know we should  and would love to have it magically done to reap the results.  It is great and healthy to be as physically active as possible without going to extremes however  clocking  lots of hours isn't always necessary.
We are a BUSY society and the actual recommendation of  the daily requirement of physical activity per day is 30 minutes,( for health maintenance),  but to get at least those 30 minutes together on certain days can seem impossible.
Don't despair.  Try breaking it into 3 (10) minutes increments. 10 minutes in the morning, 10 minutes in the middle of the day and the last 10 in the evening.   You may find yourself more motivated, energetic and focused because you're giving it your ALL for just 10 minutes at a stretch.   Less feeling of, "Am I done yet?"
An example might be 10 minutes of yoga in the AM to wake up the brain and muscles, a 10 minute walk at lunch/climbing stairs at work, and then maybe  10 minutes of  weight bearing exercise in the evening.  Try whatever feels good for your body.
On the days that you have more time available in a stretch....Go for the longer workout.

Lose some time

Remember in childhood when you could be engaged in play, an activity or a project for what seemed like only a few minutes but actually turned into being an hour or longer?  The idea of "Losing Time" in fun.  Children are all about fun and what brings them joy, and through childhood exploration we discovered what we loved to do.
If we were blessed and lucky enough to grow up in homes that had very little family stress and anxiety, there is a good chance that we had the time and opportunity, as children, to explore our interests. I usually think of this from the ages of 3/4-10 years, give or take. Then some things can change, and I won't generalize to say in all cases, but children can start to move away from the activities that they once loved, the very ones that fueled their passions.  Maybe its because of increased responsibility at home and/or school, perception from peers, greater social involvement, or any other number of factors but passion in interests can continually decrease.  As any adult knows....time then becomes a factor.
When was the last time that you, as an adult, were so involved in an activity that you enjoyed that you lost track of time, that you felt pure excitement from your involvement? Everyone is super busy, every day with great, wonderful things(spouse/partner, children, family, friends, pets) and then with  the possible stressful aspects of life(insert anything that causes some worry and anxiety). Whether good or bad, it all can take away time from adults nurturing who they are at their core, the  parts that make us our unique and gifted selves.
Being a romantic partner and parent are in my opinion the two most important and special roles we can have in our life if we so choose and thus provide so much joy and happiness.  But I am encouraging everyone to give a little time to an individual activity that piques interest, lowers the shoulders down from the ears and trickles a little calm into every day.
This does not require a large time commitment.  Give yourself a minute or two today to do something that you love, more time if able.  If it has been a long time since being able to set this time aside and are unsure of where your passions lie, think of  answers to some of these questions.......- When out in stores, what stops you for a second glance? - What ads or articles catch your interest?  - What did you love to do as a child?    - What brings a laughter, comfort, or relaxation?
Only have a minute at the end of the night, log on to the internet and look up an area of interest, read about it and go from there.  My hope is that this focus on your gifts and talents will transition into it being part of an everyday in whatever that means for you; a class once or twice a week, working on a hobby a little each day...and yes,yes closing your eyes and imagining that you're on a fantasy vacation for a minute counts.
Have fun  and see the wonderful effects on every aspect of your life!

A little bit goes a long way

Starting, revamping and refreshing a life of health, fitness and wellness takes work; consistency, and individually figuring out step by step what works for a particular person.  This forum is  hopefully going to offer some new information, answer questions regarding a topic that may have been of interest, and provide support and encouragement.  Some posts may read as more holistic, while others will be more direct containing a tip on exercise or diet.  I hope it will be informative, enjoyable and gives a little "food" for thought. Life long changes take insight and commitment.  Please feel free to check in a couple times a week.
